Find more peace of mind with this checklist!
Ask these 7 Questions to evaluate risk before saying YES to a sleepover.
Includes info for letting kids down easy when the answer is NO, or helping kids understand if your family has decided to not do sleepovers at all.
(Don’t forget to apply this safety checklist to sleepovers with cousins/extended family as well.
In 9/10 cases, child sexual abuse is perpetrated by someone the child knows and trusts, and in about 5/10 cases, it is an older child).
Rest a little easier knowing you’ve done the prep to reduce risk.
(This does not remove all risk but will protect against some specific risk factors. Always trust your gut if you (or your child) don’t feel good about allowing a sleepover. No is a complete sentence.)
(BodySafetySongs.org is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit. A portion of all proceeds are used to bring abuse prevention education to all children and families)
